Beach Wedding Gold Coast

Beach Wedding Ideas - Gold Coast

When considering a Beach Wedding Gold Coast, you need to consider the following:

1. Beach Wedding Locations on the Gold Coast:

  • Does the beach location have a great outlook? You will know when you see the ceremony if this is the spot you want to get married it. Remember your wedding is a reflection of you.
  • Is there enough car parking? Talk to your wedding coordaintor about what your car parking options are.
  • Will I need a Beach Gold Coast Council Permit? In all public areas you do need a council permit. This can be organised by your wedding coordaintor so contact us today.
  • When should I obtain a beach wedding permit? Popular Locations book up so be sure to get your permit as soon as you can confirm the location and time.
  • How many people are you allowed on the Gold Coast Beaches for my wedding? Council allows up to 50 guest on the Gold Coast. If you have more then 50 guest you may consider a park looking over the beach.
  • How long is our Gold Coast Wedding permit for? The council allows 1 hour for set up, your beautiful wedding on the beach & photos. If you have any concerns call or email us & we’ll work around it.
  • Can guests get down to the Gold Coast beach wedding easily? Consider supplying a map or directions with the invitation if you believe your ceremony location may be hard to find our if you have interstate or international clients coming to your wedding. We can also supply signs to help your wedding planning.
  • Where will everything be set up? Make sure to visit the beach location with your wedding coordiantor prior to your wedding day to discuss where you would like everything to be set up and positioned.

2. Photography:

  • Does the surrounding area have great backdrops for photos? Where do you want to have photos. Do you want beach photos or garden photos? Look around at the location when choosing to make sure you have the right backdrop for you.

3. Sunlight/Tides

  • What time of day will the ceremony be? You should work this back from what time your reception is, how long you want location photos, and then how long the ceremony will be. We can help you!
  • What shade will there be for the guests? In the summer months it can get quite hot we have some great wedding styling ideas and favours you could do in these warmer months. Including a water station with personalised labels, hand fans and silk parasols. Enquire today for a quote.

Having your Ceremony and Reception in the same place

I am an avid supporter of wedding ceremonies and the reception being held in the same place for a number of reasons:

  • Its easy for the Bride and Groom: If you are having a civil ceremony outside the church it can be daunting and frustrating finding the right park, beach, location for the ceremony.  Having your ceremony at the reception venue involves less planning and no having to deal with the council. Plus the day will seem much more enjoyable if you are not racing to get to the ceremony, moving off to the photography location and then back to the reception!  You can maximize the time with your guests and enjoying the whole experience.
  • Its easy for the guests: It can be a long day for the guests too, so it is more convenient if they only have to go to one location.  Also, that awkward 3 hour wait between ceremony and reception can mean that guests don’t know what to do with themselves.  This can also deter people from coming to the ceremony and simply arriving to the reception (which is just bad etiquette in my book!).
  • Save costs and time: You will save costs on car hire and permits by having your ceremony at the reception venue.  Most venues will provide a discounted package price if you have your ceremony  with them too.
  • Drinks and Nibbles: The one thing people always comment on regarding weddings is the food and drink!  And I agree, I think it is important to keep guests watered and fed – full guests are happy guests.   Everyone loves a champers and canapé or three!  You don’t want your guests having a sneaky Big Mac before the reception because they are starving.  Plus this keeps the guests busy while you are having your photos done.

Things to take into consideration when choosing your venue:

  • Does the venue offer a ceremony location and does it suit your needs ie size and style
  • Does the venue offer a wet weather contingency for the ceremony?
  • Can the venue provide post ceremony Champagne and canapés?
  • Is there space on the grounds or near the venue to take your wedding photos?
  • Is there ample parking?
  • Can the venue provide you with the décor – if not you know who to call!

There is a great selection of venues in Sydney that can accommodate both ceremonies and receptions.  Feel free to drop me a line if you need a recommendation!

Julian & Ashley’s Rosser Park Wedding

Julian & Ashley's Rosser Park Wedding

Julian & Ashley tied the knot on Saturday 18th February 2012 at the beautiful Gold Coast Botanical Gardens. Also known as Rosser Park, this beautiful garden scenery is perfect for a Gold Coast Wedding. Julian & Ashley chose a lemon tropical wedding theme. We styled our single bamboo archway with white chiffon and lemon satin sashes to tie. Beautiful frangipani bouquets on each pole and also at the top of the archway. Ashley chose our wedding chairs with covers and a lemon sash to compliment. The aisle was lined with a chocolate brown bamboo aisle runner & at the beginning of aisle standing high was our signature chocolate brown bamboo flutes with frangipani bouquets. As the afternoon went on the shade rolled over the wedding ceremony at Rosser Park and Ashley arrived looking simply amazing. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids dressed in gorgeous long lemon maxi dresses and their two gorgeous little boys. It was a beautiful ceremony with their Aunty Sil reading from the bible and Julian’s family singing a traditional song as a surprise at the end. The happy couple enjoyed romantic photos at Rosser Park and then headed back to Southport Hall for their reception were they partied on with 190 guest.

Robina Woods Weddings

Robina Woods Garden Wedding

Robina Woods Golf Course offers romance, tranquillity and privacy for the most important Wedding of the Year, Your Wedding! Robina Woods not only has a beautiful elegant chapel on the Gold Coast, St Andrews Chapel. Robina Woods has the most superb garden scenery for your Gold Coast Wedding. I had the pleasure to style Robina Woods Garden Arch in a elegant, chic, vintage black and white theme. To style the wedding arch I used black and white chiffon & draped crystal strands, teardrops with diamontes & spiral ornaments. At the centre, a beautiful clear crystal chandelier! The aisle was lined with white shepherd hooks & white rose kissing balls with crystals & a black carpet to compliment the black and white wedding theme. To top of this gorgeous set up I used silver tiffany chairs with black organza sashes. WOW!!!! I love it. Another great theme colour to use with black & white is green, as you can see with the garden backdrop.
